Yesterday morning (> than 24 hrs ago) I purchased a $15 Bath and Body Works gift card and have not yet received it. I have checked and double checked my email and spam folders but it’s not there. Normally I get the GC link with in a few minutes. The purchase shows in my transaction history and has been charged to my PayPal account but I’m still waiting.
Just when you think that things are as bad as they can get with AARP's IT Department, somehow they manage to make things even worse. This evening the clock didn't reset, so not only can we not earn any new points, we also can't redeem our points on things we did last night (like playing instant win or entering sweepstakes). I thought that the constant tech problems with Rewards was just incompetence, but now I'm starting to think that they're actually trolling us.
Last night, I won an instant win 10.00 Sonic gift card, and the message said that confirmation about the instant win had been sent to my email. I received nothing in the email. I waited 15 minutes, still nothing. Since then, I have been checking the spam folder, trash folder, and inbox - still nothing this morning. With all the technical issues with the website, I did take a screenshot of the announcement I had won. I would like to know how I can send the screenshot to the correct person at AARP who could help me redeem the gift card I won.
I redeemed 17,000 points for a $5 Ulta card which is way too many points for a $5 card, but I can use it and it is almost the end of the month. Well-------- Surprise! Suprise! I have not received it. I called the rewards number and talked to someone there. She said she could not see that I had an Ulta card being sent. Apparently they have a record of the cards they have tried to send you. She then looked at my redemption history and saw the 17,000 reduction for an Ulta Card. The bigger surprise is that according to their records they haven't sent me any gift cards since November. You know that's when the maintenance for 3 days was done before the last terrible 3 day maintenance. This site it so messed up. The thing is I have redeemed and received gift cards since then, including one on January 14 shortly before this last fiasco of a maintenance was done. She has to send it to another department to have the
THREE STRAIGHT MONTHS of this nonsense. I chat with agents since November. They escalate, it takes weeks for it to start working again. Then a few weeks later I lose the ability to 1) Earn points and 2) Redeem any points or 3) BOTH!! This is beyond ridiculous now how much time I've spent in chat trying to get this resolved. How is it fair the site works for some... and they get more entries in sweepstakes and more chances for instant wins than the members who this keeps happening to??? If it were a system wide thing I'd understand.... but why only certain people have to deal with this. And now for a THIRD month in a row?? Worst run website I've ever seen....
Buffalo Wild Wings® Gift Card Instant WinThis item is currently not available. You can't redeem for this item at this time..
In AARP Rewards, you have a year error in the Transaction History - Expiring Points area. The expiring points are looking back to 2024 for expiration and not to January and February of 2025. The year did not roll over correctly at the start of the year.
supposedly won a petsmart gift card last night, have yet to recieve an email with the gift card, is this one of the technical issues? anyone else have a problem getting their instant win gift cards? the scheduled maintence every so often, makes the site worse and worse to navigate please leave well enough alone.
Sat April 15 I attempted to log into AARP, something I have been doing DAILY without a problem for several years. A page came up saying a new security measure required AARP to text or phone me a code in order to proceed. I found a "not now" tab, clicked it and was online. The following Monday, April 17 I chatted online with AARP about this feature. Since I choose not to use a phone (yes really) I asked them for an alternate method like email to send me a code if that is what their security detail required. They said they would get back to me in 3-5 business days. Thursday April 20 I got an email-- Thank you for contacting AARP.We have received your case and have passed it on to our rewards team. We will email you when we have a resolution from them.If you are still experiencing issues with AARP.org please feel free to contact our toll free number at 1-877-634-8313.Thank you for your continued support. So today Friday April 21, I canno
So I spend an hour completing many videos then when try to redeem for several sweepstakes entries the message that I have maxed out daily entries comes up. WTH? I was not able to redeem ANY! What a total waste of time. Besides that issue, the sweepstakes cannot be considered legally fair if this type of stuff is occurring - how does anyone know if it only affects some but not all participants on any given day!
The reCAPTCHA verification on the Instant Win entry form is not working and does not allow submission. The error message displayed is ERROR for site owner: Invalid domain for site key This is the case for all prizes. Please correct this problem.
"..."We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we work on a resolution." Finally, acknowledgement!
Earlier this morning I posted about the ongoing tech problems with AARP Rewards and how it reflects poorly on how much AARP cares about its members. It appears that the post was taken down (I wasn't notified of that; it has just disappeared). My post was respectful, brief, and relevant. I didn't violate any of the guidelines. So I'm left wondering whose job it is to censor our posts and why mine was taken down. AARP management, please respond. Thanks.
This occurs on 2 different browsers & the app on my Android phone. It occurs for both Sweepstakes & Instant Win items. Error is: "Unable to process your redemption request". Repro:1. Go to redemptions page2. Click on an "Instant Win" - also true for Sweepstakes item with similar steps3. Click on "Redeem and Spin"4. Error given is "! Unable to process your redemption request" - see attached snippetThis happens for all "Instant Win" & Sweepstakes items I have tried. Several other people are having this issue, see posts where the date is 10-30-2024: https://community.aarp.org/t5/Redemption/Error-quot-Unable-to-process-your-redemption-request-quot/m-p/2575136 Thanks, Andy Thanks,Andy
No instant wins, still only $5 cards, every video checked off before I could do them, and this morning, it tells me I've maxed out before I did anything. AARP must know this is going on, other people have complained about the same problems, but yet we hear nothing from them.
I ordered a 500 Carnival E gift card on the 25th. I still haven't received it. I tried doing the chat function and someone was trying to help me. Tried resending them with no luck also never received a confirmation email and the chat was cut off. Today I can't get the chat to load and I have been on hold and getting nowhere. Money was taken out of my account right away,
I can't find my post from November when I commented about the error I was getting. For the first time since October or early November, I have redeemed points toward the sweepstakes and a gift card instant win instead of getting "Oops! An error occurred....". It was just a few minutes before 10 p.m., mt (Midnight, et). We'll see how this goes. Do I understand correctly that we are having or have had a reset at midnight, tonight, eastern time? I'll be back tomorrow (Friday) to see if the reset lost me my newly restored access to redemptions. Stay well and safe!
I purchased two $500 Royal Caribbean gift cards on 1/6/2025 and as of today 1/14/2025 I have received no order confirmation and no gift cards. My credit card was charged on the 7th and it has posted to my credit card account. I have called and then I was told it was being escalated. I received an email from an ombudsman but they do not reply to any emails and they do not answer their phone. My patience is running out for lack of communication I'm about ready to call my credit card company and file a charge back. I don't understand what the issue is I've purchased these gift cards in the past for previous cruises and received the digital gift cards shortly after making the website purchase. Also when the person on the phone told me it had to be escalated I asked them to just refund since I was never sent the gift cards and they said they're not authorized to refund. If I don't hear something shortly I'm just going to have my credit card company deal with it.
I can see under my redemption history that I only played the Sonic IWG today. There is some glitch that isn't allowing me to enter the other sweepstakes. My mom doesn't seem to have this issue, so any tips?
It's obvious that there has been some issues. Like freezing accounts for no reason other than being a bot or cheating, not being able to get the maximum reward points we should be earning and not able to use or losing reward points earned. That last one is my favorite. Makes me scream every time. So I thought it would be great to offer FREE bonus entries and/or reward points and maybe a little extra. After all, AARP runs its business on us the customers. It would show how much we are appreciated and that you truly love us as if we were your own children. So how about it? Lets do a high-five and I'll even start it off by saying, "Woooo Hooooo for AARP! We love you! USA #1".
I am writing to report a critical issue regarding recent gift card purchases and a subsequent account access problem. Two days ago, I purchased gift cards for Adidas, Macy's, and Airbnb, totaling $1200. While the payment was successfully processed, I have not received any confirmation emails or emails containing the gift card codes. I contacted customer service regarding the missing codes, but they simply stated the issue would be escalated to the gift card team for support. However, I have not received any assistance from the gift card team, and the situation remains unresolved. To further complicate matters, I am now experiencing an account access issue. A persistent pop-up message appears stating: "Sorry, we are having trouble accessing your account. Click to login and refresh." Despite numerous attempts, I cannot log in. This situation is extremely concerning, as I have no confirmation of my gift card purchases and am now unable to access my account. I request u
I love the reward purchase options, but I often forget. I tried to purchase today's daily deal and the pop-up window in my cart is stating I have already purchased 4 out of 5 of the limit of 5 per month. This is my first purchase of the month, so my first thought was that maybe somebody hacked my account (don't laugh - I know it seems silly that someone would hack my AARP account, but it was the first thing that popped into my head). After paying for the daily deal, I checked my transactions (on the rewards page) and could easily confirm that there have been no other purchases on my account. Has anyone else experienced this?/
I go to the sweepstakes section and redeem 15,500 points to get 10 entries each into 3 sweepstakes yesterday. Today I do the same thing and each sweepstakes says I have 10 entries. I should have 20 each. As if that's not enough, the 15,500 entries I used yesterday is gone. I should have either 20 entries into each of the three sweepstakes or give me my 15,500 points back. I work hard to earn these points every day answering quizzes and watching AARP videos just to get 5,000 points a day. This last update/maintenance robbed me!
I played three Instant Wins yesterday whenever the website came back online. When I tried to play them today, it came up that I had already played the Instant Wins and to come back tomorrow. The three Instant Wins did not reset at midnight. I hope they reset tonight. The new one today, Home Depot, was fine. I was able to play it.
