AARP Rewards

This is the fourth message I've posted about this.  The other three have disappeared.  It has been 15 days since I chatted with AARP.  It has been 15 days without being able to enter sweepstakes, redeem for instant wins, purchase gift cards with points, and probably buy cards with $'s.  Nothing has changed, and we have heard nothing from AARP.  I've tried chatting with them today, three times, and every time it tells me to try during their business hours.  The times I've tried have all been within business hours, the last at 3:30 PM ET.  At this point, there is very little likelihood that we will renew our membership next month.

 I don't know about anybody else, but I feel that having 145 Greeting Cards on the Rewards site (I counted them) is a bit over the top.  You could remove 75% of them and use the points to offer Gift Cards that are worth more than $5.00. 

I know this topic has been brought up before, but since it seems tougher than ever to win an Instant Win, I think it should be looked at again.Why can anyone come in, earn enough points to play, win Instant Wins, and not be required to join AARP?  If this is being used to attract people to join, why should they join when they can play free?Instant Wins should be for members only!

AARP's most recent addition of the popup advertisement window at the bottom center of the screen that BLOCKS the "earn more points" button is simply IGNORANT. Are they trying to make it as difficult as possible to actually earn points?

It seems that as of 1/1/26, there are many fewer videos for us to watch and earn points, like almost 100 fewer.  Does anyone know what happened and why so many were removed?

 I followed the instructions for applying the discount to an existing account: cancel existing account, log out, go to the paramountplus.com/aarp site, verify AARP account.  But at that point, it wanted me to make an entirely new account, and wouldn't accept my existing one.  When I signed in, it just left that process entirely.  This seems to either be a flaw in the process, or they don't really intended to let it work on existing accounts and the benefit page should reflect that.

Just an fyi with the Saks cards offered here.  While Chapter 11 is a reorganization, and companies can emerge fine out of it, I’d be very careful with getting gift cards for Saks.  Saks Global just filed for Chapter 11.  Might not affect gift cards right now, but just a heads up, as you never know in the near future how this will be handled.  I don’t shop at Saks, but just saw the gift cards here, and wanted to alert people just in case 

     As I’m looking at the Term of the Bed Bath and Beyond gift card being offered here for points now, I’m remembering that I thought they only had a website now. So the terms made sense. Since the physical stores closed and bankruptcy reorganization.      The terms say this card offered can only be used on website.  I thought I had heard some states had physical stores starting to appear. ?  Just curious, if anyone had  been able to use it in there, since the terms say online only.

If I entered multiple different gift card sweepstakes all in different days in November 2025, when will the winners be posted. As far as I can tell, by searching through the website, I don't see anything about the gift card sweepstakes winners for the month of November. Its as if you have to dig, just to find out who the winners are. Frustrated

Has anyone else encountered the same problem as me, unable to use the AARP One-Year Membership Card promo code? I redeemed 20,000 points for a one-year AARP membership, but now I can't enter the promo code.

It now looks like it now takes 200 points for each entry for a $100 gift card sweepstakes.  And instead of 20 winners there are now only 15.  The cuts keep coming and the membership dues keep rising.

What was your favorite AARP Rewards redemption this year?

 Redemption of gift cards amount to $5 and purchasing them saves you $2, $3, or $5 at the most. Years ago gift cards had value of $25 when redeeming for points. Once my membership expires I won’t be renewing. AARP need to make it worthwhile again.

 There used to be a post of what the weeks daily deals would be. Is that discontinued or I just can't find it?

Just noticed a pattern in this video Blackjack and wanted to share.  Almost Every time I pushed with dealer, I doubled the next hand and won.  Doesn’t always work, but works more than not. Edit to add:  Setting of 1 deck 

This year 2025 has been an "interesting" year indeed for the AARP Rewards Program. LOTS of changes. Thank you SO MUCH for those who came to my aid as I muddled through things trying to LEARN. And WE HAVE LOST TOO MANY of our old timers!!! 😭 But that is life and I will ALWAYS "treasure" the memories of the past Rewards Program. A past that will NEVER return. Wishing ALL a totally AWESOME 2026 in your "real" life!!! 😉 Nicole 💛

All of a sudden I am not getting points for steps.  It shows my Apple Health is synced ( I even unsynced and resynched). It had given me points every other day the last 4 days (my apple health shows I have walked 5000 or 10000 each of those days). AARP was never able to fix the Fitbit sync issue which started about a year ago,  so I gave up and started using Apple health. It requires my synching my Fitbit to Apple health through another app…. So it is a pain….. but now I’m not getting all my points !!!! Beyond frustrating that this app is such a mess on so many levels.
