Violence flarin'

Bullets loadin'

WE'RE ON THE EVE OF DESTRUCTION

------ Barry McGuire, 1965

    Not even anyplace close . . . . today, I am not having to be notified of the war death / disfigurement of many of my friends and neighbors.  Nor am I having to wonder if my husband is coming back - he did but only to die later still as a result of Nam.

    To sit on pins and needles everyday when those guys in uniform came to the place where I lived and wondering if they are coming to my door or to somebody else’s door.  NOPE - nowhere even close IMO.

    @GailL1,

    I am not sure whose comments you are replying to but it surely isn't mine.

    My comments pertain to the multitude of military hot spots throughout the world and how humanity hasn't changed much in 60 years.

    Nowhere did I specify anything that relates to your antagonistic response to my comment.

    The tone of your comment sounds threatening to me as you direct your comment towards me. I make a statement about humanity and you direct your aggressive comment toward me.
