AARP Rewards

I don’t know why I hadn’t done this before, as I used it in my old computer days. Boolean Search Operators. Im still tinkering with it, but wanted to see if it would work if I filtered out Greeting cards, guides, and subscriptions, coloring books.  So far so good.  Trying to see if other strings will work for say New, or Points with plus operator after. Try this this  1.Once in Redeem for all Rewards   2. Go to Sort  area and you’ll see the SEARCH  box next to it it. ( where it gives an example you can put in like restaurant) 3 Put this below in that box which is what you are going to search. No spaces between the minus and word you want to exclude from your search, but space between next word -Subscription -Guide -Coloring -Greeting  I’m still tinkering but so far works the way I want.  Hoping something doesn’t fall through the cracks. Next up will be if I can do just Points only or New.  With plus sign.&n

I’m remembering 3 cards per month allowed for points, correct?

The For Points option when redeeming points does not include all the cards that are for points only.  This needs to be fixed.  It is very frustrating to have to wade through the entire list of cards for purchase to see the ones for points only.

So over the past couple years I've accumulated a lot of $5 and $10 Harry & David (and related) gift cards but when ordering online I can use ONLY ONE gift card. Their FAQ says to contact customer support. So I contact customer support and they say there's a limit of only one gift card per order. So why did they say to weaste my time calling customer support? To rub it in more I guess? I asked to talk with someone higher and no luck. Shipping costs are painfull. There is a $20/$30 passport for a year's worth of shipping but you can't use any gift cards for that?!?! $5 off is only a dent in their prices. Buy a $50 card and save only $5 which still doesn't really help. A company that gets free money for not providing a service. Only one gift card... Growl.

AARP DELETE THIS ONE TOO Never thought AARP would stoop to such deceitful tactics in dealing with us.instead of being open and transparent they have taken the most dishonest path to deal with a situation that they themselves created. This topic (Oops! Please refresh your browser to get back on track.) had accumulated a very large following with many post asking tech support to please fix the OOPS ERROR, but what do they do ??THEY JUST DELETED ALL TRACES OF THE TOPIC. 

Dec 1, 2025 at 5:40 AM EST, a Domino’s $5 Points Only card appeared in my catalog. I attempted redemption multiple times across different browsers, but the site blocked me. This was my first redemption attempt of the month, so I was well under the limit. Please investigate and either issue the card to me.

Anybody who can help me get to the "Official Entry Form"?

I’d like to make a friendly suggestion that a filter for “New” be created as a sort/filter to be able to find new cards as they become available, and/or in a given date frame.  I’m sure this may have been suggested before, but since the filter by “Points” needs to be worked on anyway since it’s been hit or miss lately , how about adding a filter for “New”?The word NEW does appear at the top left of the tiles for a new card, but can be cumbersome even with the working filters that are there. The advantage of filtering by “ New” would be a welcome filter, I’d think to many of us.Thanks, if possible

Hi there, I don’t see the Walmart or Doordash list of winners on the current winners list??? Any idea when those might be added? (am still waiting for a “you won” email LoL) 

I've reached out to chat multiple times and this problem still has not been resolved, but every single time that I go and try to redeem my rewards for sweepstakes or instant wins it always comes up with the same error of being unable to process the redemption. It is very frustrating to be unable to redeem all of the rewards that I have and having gotten nowhere with the support or case escalation in the past so figured I'd try here.

I have found there are gift cards out there for points that do not show up when you filter for points.  Home Depot, Ulta, DSW, Petsmart, Sheetz, AMC and Bass Pro.  I found them by searching with the word 'gift card' but you have to look through a lot to find them. So just search for the particular one you want.  Happy hunting.

First time being notified of points ready to expire.....not seeing anything worthy of redeeming my points. Sadly, it appears this 'rewards/points' program is just as much a waste of time and energy as all the others I've ever experienced.

Do you plan your redemptions or spend points as you earn them?

When will AARP post the winners of the August sweepstakes drawings? If the drawing can't be held because of the loss of entries during the recent AARP website hack... Could our points at least be REFUNDED? Each account has a record of what sweepstakes were entered and how many points were redeemed. Waiting for a response...

It’s now mid-November, and AARP has still not posted the September 2025 sweepstakes winners list. The August list was delayed, and now September is missing entirely. Members invest time and points into these sweepstakes. When results are delayed without explanation—and when sweepstakes are quietly extended beyond their original end dates—it undermines trust and raises serious questions about fairness. AARP, please clarify:When will the September winners list be posted?Why were some sweepstakes extended into October without prior notice?What steps are being taken to prevent future delays?Transparency matters. If there’s a technical issue, say so. If rules changed, disclose it. Silence is not acceptable.

 I feel so disappointed in the far and few $5 rewards that are offered. A lot of them are not in our area. I used to get some nice  10 dollar ones once in a while and also some merchandise . ( like the aarp sister boxes). I feel like the ads have doubled. I played word wipe in the morning and now you get 100 less points. Is anyone Else disappointed. I work hard at this to try and save a few bucks.

I never liked their pizza, but won a $10 gift card from aarp and figured what the heck. I tried to redeem it on papa john's website (and yes, all the numbers were correct because i copied and pasted) and put in the pin where requested, and their website wouldn't register it. never again. i'd rather pay the extra $10 and get a pizza, that i feel actually tastes like pizza, and ordered elsewhere. 

Today I had to log in three times to finish all my point earnings.  Why?  Lately I have to log in at least once after already logging in, now three times?  Uh oh, I smell another maintenance fix...

I always check my transactions daily to make sure I am being rewarded for the activities.  So far so good until today when I completed all the items, said I maxed out, but under transaction history only showed first 10 activities.  This is the first time I noticed this being displayed.  Usually I scroll through 3 or 4 pages to see all my activities for the day.  Any ideas?

 I posted the following earlier today as an answer to the posting "latest glitch" by another user; now at the end of the day, Petsmart gift card $5 is still hidden when I search with "For Points". I am concerned that what I wrote may be buried in the previous thread of a few days ago.To get some attention from both AARP Rewards patrons and employees, I am reposting it below. ‎11-09-2025 01:33 PM True. It's an intermittent problem. Earlier I got the Petsmart $5 gift card for 16,000 points, Just now I was curious to see if it had been sold out. I could not find it by filtering with "For Points" as I could earlier during my purchase; however it was there and not yet sold out if I searched for "Petsmart" ; it was there along with the extra credit one for $12 and the for purchase of $46.How many opportunities to buy "For Points" gift cards are we missing?This glitch needs to be fixed and promptly, please.

Welcome to the "glitch of the month" club. This month's latest glitch is that the "For Points" filter is not working when new points-only gift cards are added. Or maybe this should be "glitch of the day" club, since there are multiple glitches that happen each month.  🙄

Been using the Carnival Gift Cards for years from AARP, my friends are Royal cruisers so I am like Wow AARP does Royal cards too! Well I was atleast smart enough to only buy one $100 card to make sure it works. However, of course even though Royal’s website is similar to Carnival and you can apply gift cards it doesn’t let you do one with just the pin. My bad for not reading fine print but OMG why would it be a different process between cruise lines. Has anyone had this issue recently? I will try to dispute on credit card but it is still pending, I literally bought it an hour ago. I would be fine applying it when I get on board but not sure if anyone was able to do this? I always pay for the drink package and excursions etc closer to the cruise and always use Carnival gift cards for it, Thanks for the help 🙂
